In 2006, at the age of 32, I took over La Caverna Restaurant & Wine Bar in the heart of Temple Bar, Dublin.
What began as a dream built on hard work, discipline, and passion has, over the years, become something much more than a restaurant.
It became our life.
Over the past two decades, we have had the privilege of growing alongside Temple Bar — watching it transform into one of the most vibrant and recognized destinations in Dublin.
Within our walls, La Caverna evolved too — through improvements, changes, and new ideas — while always staying true to what matters most:
A traditional Italian restaurant — warm, welcoming, and full of character.
La Caverna has always been a family restaurant in the deepest sense of the word.
My children, Shannon and David, grew up in this restaurant.
From the age of 14, they were already involved — learning every aspect of the business, from the floor to the kitchen, from service to management.
They understand this place not just as a business, but as a way of life.
Today, I am incredibly proud to see them stepping forward with new energy, fresh ideas, and a vision for the future.
And I trust them completely to take La Caverna to the next level — while always protecting the values that built it.
Thousands of guests have walked through our doors over the years.
From romantic dinners to birthdays, family celebrations, christenings, engagements, and even weddings — La Caverna has been part of so many special moments.
Many of you returned again and again, becoming not just customers, but friends… and family.
At the end of every night, our greatest satisfaction has never been the sales,
Reaching 20 years is something very few restaurants achieve.
And we could never have done it without you.
To our staff, our friends, and every guest who has supported us over the years —
Thank you for being part of our journey.
